Dawn Breaker

It's early morning, and the sun has risen.
I hear a knock at the door...who is it?
I get up, flip on my shirt and coffeepot,
and see just who is bothering me now.

There she is...wanting her early-morning brew.
It will be a few minutes...but what does she care?
She comes in...now this is a surprise for me.
She closes the door and undresses me in her eyes.

I give her a hug, hoping that she would like it.
She puts her hands behind my head, softly.
Her lips touch mine, then her mouth opens wide.
We stand there and kiss, unconcerned by anything.

We then break apart, but her eyes tell me that
there will be far more of this yet to come.
I pour her coffee, then send her on her way...
the dawn has broken for me, in more ways than one.
