Never Again!

In their fear lies their hate...
and in their hate lays our demise.
For folks like me are nothing--
"useless eaters" that amount to zip.

They took our ability to procreate
in the name of Eugenic Science.
They locked us away in institutions,
sometimes for rest of our lives.

I say to you this:
NEVER AGAIN!


In Germany, we became blood offerings
upon the altar of the cult of "the master race."
At places like Grafeneck, we were killed
to futher the aims of the Nazi War Machine.

From T-4 in Berlin came the orders for death,
which only ended when the Nazis fell.
Camphor injections and gas cremations
were the fate of folks like myself in that time.

I say to you this:
NEVER AGAIN!


In the wake of Sandy Hook, some folks desired
to have a registry of myself and my kind.
In the name of "public safety" and "order,"
we were to be used as scapegoats yet again.

Perhaps we know not who are the true madmen...
at least I acknowledge just who I am, why not they?
As long as there are those who desire to send me back,
I will fight such efforts until the day of my demise.

I say to you this:
